THE Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) conducted a series of community engagement and outreach activities on Monday, September 21, 2026, focusing on crime prevention, livelihood education, and police-community relations across Barangays 176-A and 181.
Under the leadership of CCPS Chief of Police PCol. Joey T. Goforth and the supervision of Community Affairs Section (CAS) OIC PLt. Ma. Gracia E. Balderas, officers organized interactive lectures and distributed relief supplies to over a hundred local residents.
The day’s events began at 6:00 AM in Lower Pangarap Village, Barangay 181, where approximately 50 residents gathered for a joint safety and livelihood workshop.
PSSg John Mikko Camerino led a session on crime prevention, highlighting vigilance, personal safety, and the importance of reporting suspicious activity.
PSSg Jennifer J. Balmeo followed with a practical demonstration on dishwashing liquid production to offer participants viable home-based livelihood opportunities.
The team, assisted by PCpl. Patrick M. Flor and community representative Amor Franco, concluded the session by distributing 50 food packages containing rice and snacks.
At 1:00 PM, police officers transitioned to the Abot Kamay Covered Court in Phase 4, Barangay 176-A, for a crime prevention lecture tailored for local Muslim residents.
Attended by roughly 60 community members and community representative Imam Abdulmalic Macalaba Sultan, the session focused on fostering mutual trust, safety awareness, and joint security efforts.
Police Sub-Station 12 Commander PMaj. Edsel R. Ibasco expressed appreciation for the active participation of the Muslim community, emphasizing that local police sub-stations remain open and accessible to all residents regardless of religious affiliation.
“The police station remains open and ready to assist everyone,” Ibasco said, encouraging residents to coordinate directly with law enforcement officers whenever safety concerns arise.
Following the lecture, officers distributed additional rice packs and refreshments, reaffirming the department’s commitment to building safer, more inclusive neighborhoods through active community engagement and preventive policing.
