OPERATIVES of the Eastern Police District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) arrested the district’s third most wanted person during an operation in Barangay Barangka Ibaba on Friday afternoon, September 25.
The suspect, a 52-year-old driver, was apprehended around 4:50 PM by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued on June 18, 2026, by the Regional Trial Court Branch 192 in Marikina City.
He faces charges for Rape under Article 266-A, Paragraph 1, in relation to Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act No. 8353, with no bail recommended.
Police Brigadier General Roman C. Arugay, EPD District Director, commended the operating team for tracking down the suspect and reiterating the district’s crackdown on violent crime.
“Safeguarding the public is a duty we execute without compromise, and we stand firm against anyone who seeks to cause harm,” PBGen Arugay said.
“The arrest of this wanted person highlights our drive to enforce the law without fear or favor. The EPD will continue its campaign against violent offenders to ensure our neighborhoods remain secure environments for all,” Arugay added.
Following the arrest, officers informed the suspect of his constitutional rights before transporting him to the DMFB Intelligence Office for booking and documentation.
He was subsequently brought to the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center for a mandatory medical and physical examination.
The suspect will be transferred to the Marikina City Police Station Custodial Facility for temporary detention while the issuing court is formally notified of the arrest.
