FOUR men were arrested early Tuesday morning after allegedly breaking into a compound in Barangay Don Manuel and stealing electrical fixtures and equipment.
Members of the Galas Police Station (PS 11), under the leadership of Police Lieutenant Colonel Morgan Aguilar and QCPD Acting District Director PBGen. Christopher Olazo, apprehended the suspects around 6:30 AM on September 8 along D. Tuazon Street.
Police identified the suspects by their aliases: “Jas,” 20; “Jon,” 19; “Mar,” 20; and “Aldy,” 26. All four are residents of Sampaloc, Manila.
According to police reports, a witness spotted the group illegally entering the premises at roughly 5:30 AM and beginning to dismantle electrical wiring. The witness immediately alerted law enforcement.
Responding officers caught the four men in flagrante delicto. Police recovered several stolen items and tools from the scene, including:
- Assorted electrical wires
- Two Meralco meter bases
- A 3.2-meter metal pipe
- A sack and two bags packed with cutting tools
A background check revealed that two of the suspects had prior records: “Mar” was previously charged under Presidential Decree No. 1602 in May 2025, while “Aldy” faced a robbery charge in January 2025.
All four suspects face robbery charges before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
PBGen. Olazo credited the swift operation to the vigilant resident who reported the intrusion, reiterating the department’s commitment to protecting local property and responding rapidly to active crimes.
