OPERATIVES of the Malabon City Police Station (MCPS) arrested the city’s Top 1 Most Wanted Person during a targeted law enforcement operation in Barangay Catmon on Monday, September 7.
The operation was carried out by members of the station’s Warrant and Subpoena Section, led by Police Lieutenant Redentor M. Mantala Jr., under the overall direction of Police Colonel Kenneth H. Mission, Officer-in-Charge of the MCPS.
The suspect was apprehended on the strength of a court-issued warrant of arrest for three counts of Statutory Acts of Lasciviousness and for violating Section 10(a) of Republic Act 7610, also known as the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
Police officers read the suspect their constitutional rights during the arrest. Following standard procedure, the individual underwent a mandatory medical examination before being placed in a local detention facility for custody and processing.
The serving of the warrant will be formally returned to the issuing court for appropriate judicial disposition.
The Malabon City Police Station reiterated its commitment to tracking down wanted individuals and enforcing the law to ensure community safety.
