INMATES at the New Bilibid Prison Minimum Security Camp (NBP MinSeCamp) experienced a day of fellowship and generosity as private benefactor Ms. Zian Seranilla hosted a birthday outreach program inside the facility on August 29, 2026.
Organized in coordination with prison authorities, the event aimed to bring encouragement, constructive engagement, and a sense of community to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).
The program opened with a prayer and messages of gratitude from inmate representatives, who thanked Ms. Seranilla and her family for choosing to celebrate her special day inside the camp.
In response, Ms. Seranilla delivered inspirational remarks, emphasizing personal resilience, hope, and strength of character.
Following the opening remarks, attendees were served a catered meal provided by Queenstand Catering Services, sponsored entirely by the donor.
The gathering featured interactive games, Q&A activities, and open-mic talent performances where both guests and inmates participated in singing and dancing.
To honor her support for the facility’s welfare programs, CO1 Ruth C. Tutor, Chief of the Education and Training Section (ETS) at NBP MinSeCamp, presented Ms. Seranilla with a token of appreciation on behalf of the camp administration.
Demonstrating inclusive outreach, Ms. Seranilla, her family, and ETS personnel—accompanied by members of the Security Patrol Unit (SPU)—later visited the Kanlungan ni Lolo ward within the compound.
The team personally distributed food packs and loot bags to elderly, bedridden, and disabled inmates to ensure they were included in the celebration.
Camp officials noted that community-led civic initiatives play a vital role in supporting the psychological well-being and social rehabilitation of inmates.
