AUTHORITIES apprehended CALABARZON’s second most wanted person for statutory rape during a targeted police operation in Barangay San Carlos on Monday.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Prince,” 21, was taken into custody by personnel from the Ibaan Municipal Police Station after officers served an active warrant of arrest.
The capture resulted from an intelligence-led tracking operation conducted jointly by the Regional Intelligence Unit 4A (RIU 4A) and the Batangas Provincial Intelligence Team (PIT).
Police officials stated that the successful arrest highlights Police Regional Office 4A’s (PRO 4A) intensified crackdowns on sex offenders and high-value fugitives.
Police Brigadier General Dominic L. Baccay, PRO 4A Regional Director, attributed the operation’s success to the region’s “B.E.S.T. Policing” strategy, which emphasizes inter-agency coordination and rapid, intelligence-driven operations.
“To those hiding from the law, there is no place to hide and no refuge here in CALABARZON,” Baccay said in a statement. “We will find you, we will arrest you, and you will face the law. We will not stop until you are caught.”
The suspect is currently held at the Ibaan Municipal Police Station while officers prepare the necessary documentation and legal filings.
