THE Quezon City Police District (QCPD) spearheaded a comprehensive series of strategic engagements on Thursday, September 10, 2026, targeting enhanced legislative support, grassroots community cooperation, and media transparency to reinforce peace and order across the city.
Initiating the day’s activities, QCPD Acting District Director Police Brigadier General Christopher Olazo led a high-level courtesy call on the Quezon City Council at around 10:00 AM at the Legislative Building.
Received by Vice Mayor Gian Sotto, General Olazo emphasized the imperative of tight coordination between law enforcement and city lawmakers.
The meeting served as a collaborative forum to review proposed ordinances and legislative measures designed to boost police operations, optimize crime prevention initiatives, and streamline the delivery of public safety services for all “QCitizens.”
Simultaneously, the QCPD actively engaged with the press at 10:00 AM during a Media Meet-and-Greet hosted at the NCRPO Hinirang Multi-Purpose Hall in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City.
Representing General Olazo, Deputy District Director for Administration Police Colonel Joel Villanueva and Public Information Office Chief Police Major Jennifer Gannaban met with Police Brigadier General Christopher Abrahano, Officer-in-Charge of the National Capital Region Police Office.
The event underscored the police force’s commitment to maintaining open communication lines with media organizations, ensuring that accurate, transparent, and timely information reaches the public.
Extending their reach directly to the local community, QCPD officials convened at 2:00 PM for their weekly “Ugnayan sa Barangay” at the Barangay West Triangle Conference Room.
Facilitated by Colonel Villanueva alongside District Community Affairs and Development Division Chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Allan Docyogen, the assembly brought together 48 local officials and community stakeholders.
Participants actively voiced neighborhood concerns during discussions covering localized drug-clearing efforts, crime prevention accomplishments, and interventions against gender-based violence.
Through these synchronized efforts spanning legislative, media, and local community spheres, the QCPD continues to build a multi-faceted approach toward ensuring a safer, better-coordinated Quezon City.
