AVIATION security personnel intercepted a 77-year-old Seoul-bound passenger at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 after discovering an active arrest warrant against her on September 5, 2026.
The apprehension was initiated after Bureau of Immigration officers flagged the outgoing passenger and alerted NAIA Police Station 1 personnel.
A verification check via the Philippine National Police (PNP) E-Warrant System confirmed that an active alias warrant for Qualified Theft remained valid and unserved, with no bail recommended.
Following confirmation, officers coordinated with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Regional Field Unit National Capital Region–Southern Metro Manila District Field Unit (CIDG RFU NCR-SMMDFU) to serve the warrant at the airport police station.
The accused is currently under the custody of the CIDG RFU NCR-SMMDFU for documentation and proper court disposition.
“Hindi natin papayagan na maging daanan o takbuhan ng mga may nakabinbing kaso ang ating mga paliparan. Mananatiling alerto ang ating mga tauhan 24/7 upang tiyakin na mahuhuli ang lahat ng may pananagutan sa batas,” said Police Brigadier General Dionisio B. Bartolome Jr., Director of the PNP Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP).
