THE Philippine National Police (PNP) apprehended 15 high-priority fugitives during a series of nationwide operations conducted over a 24-hour period from September 3 to September 4, 2026.
According to police reports, the law enforcement push targeted suspects with outstanding court-issued arrest warrants across multiple administrative regions, particularly focusing on individuals facing serious offenses such as rape, sexual assault, drug violations, and fraud.
In Mindanao, police units secured several high-ranking wanted persons.
In the Zamboanga Peninsula, officers arrested a top-three wanted person in Zamboanga City, a top-eight suspect in Pagadian City, and a top-nine suspect in Zamboanga City, all facing rape charges.
In Zamboanga Sibugay, a top-four wanted person was apprehended for the qualified rape of a minor and sexual assault.
The Caraga Region saw the capture of a top-six suspect in Esperanza, Agusan del Sur, for two counts of statutory rape, alongside a top-one wanted person in Lianga, Surigao del Sur, for acts of lasciviousness under Republic Act No. 7610.
In the Davao Region, police served warrants to two individuals already in custodial facilities—one ranked as a top-four wanted person facing nine counts of qualified rape, and a top-three suspect facing syndicated estafa.
Operations in the Visayas and Luzon led to the arrest of a top-three wanted person for statutory rape in Eastern Samar, a top-four suspect for statutory rape in Lagawe, Ifugao, and a top-one wanted individual in Cebu City for attempted murder with a set bail of ₱120,000.
In Metro Manila and Southern Luzon, officers arrested a top-10 wanted suspect in Mandaluyong City for illegal drug possession under RA 9165.
A regional-level most wanted person facing no-bail charges for illegal drug sales was also arrested in Cavite.
PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. emphasized that the arrests reflect the police force’s commitment to implementing judicial mandates under proper legal procedures, ensuring that all suspects are processed lawfully while upholding due process.
