A 23-year-old man listed as a top most wanted person was apprehended by local authorities in connection with a statutory rape case in Barangay San Miguel on Monday afternoon, September 21, 2026.
Members of the Luna Municipal Police Station (MPS) Tracker Team executed the arrest at approximately 2:00 PM using the Philippine National Police’s Enhanced E-Warrant System.
The suspect, identified by police under the alias “Lui”—an unemployed resident of Barangay San Miguel—was arrested under a court order that recommends no bail.
The suspect was brought to the Luna MPS for formal documentation and processing prior to his scheduled turnover to the issuing court.
Isabela Police Provincial Office (IPPO) Provincial Director PCOL Manuel B. Bringas reiterated the police force’s focus on serving outstanding warrants and locating wanted individuals across the province.
“We will continue to intensify our operations against wanted persons. Every warrant we issue is a step towards delivering justice and maintaining the safety of our communities,” PCol. Bringas stated following the operation.
The IPPO noted that intelligence-driven law enforcement operations will remain ongoing throughout Isabela to ensure individuals facing criminal charges are processed through the legal system.
