THE National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) hosted a media meet and greet on September 10, 2026, at the Hinirang Multi-Purpose Hall in Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City, aiming to enhance dialogue, mutual understanding, and information exchange between law enforcement and the press.
Led by NCRPO Officer-in-Charge PBGen. Christopher N. Abrahano, the event gathered key regional officials, district directors, public information officers, and members of the NCRPO Press Association (NCRPOPA) alongside representatives from television and radio networks, newsprint organizations, and independent online media platforms.
Organized by the Regional Public Information Office (RPIO) under Chief PMaj. Hazel T. Asilo, the initiative underscored the police force’s commitment to delivering accurate, timely, and responsible public information.
The gathering featured delegates from across the capital’s police districts, including Eastern Police District (EPD) Director PBGen. Roman C. Arugay and Northern Police District (NPD) Director PBGen. Benliner L. Capili, both accompanied by their respective District Public Information Officers (DPIO).
Representatives from the remaining three NCRPO police districts, the NCRPO Command Group, Deputy Directors, and Regional Staff were also in attendance, highlighting a unified approach across Metro Manila.
During an interview, General Abrahano engaged with members of the press, emphasizing that police leadership remains open to media feedback, operational concerns, and discussions on public safety and media access.
The discussion offered a constructive space to resolve practical challenges in police reporting while establishing clearer channels for continuous engagement.
Police leaders reiterated that strong partnerships with media stakeholders remain vital for transparent, responsive, and people-centered law enforcement.
By encouraging open communication and addressing shared operational priorities, the NCRPO and its constituent districts reaffirmed their dedication to delivering professional police service in line with the Philippine National Police’s core standards of integrity and accountability.
