OPERATIVES of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) have captured Pandi, Bulacan’s most wanted fugitive during an operation in Quezon City.
The 50-year-old suspect, listed as the Top 1 municipal most wanted person under the Philippine National Police (PNP) E-Warrant System, was cornered around 2:00 PM along 1st Street, Sitio Evergreen, Barangay Pasong Tamo.
Authorities executed the arrest based on an outstanding warrant for four counts of rape under Article 266-A (1) in relation to Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code.
The court recommended no bail for the charges. Police reported that the high-impact operation concluded without incident.
Police Brigadier General Christopher N. Abrahano, Officer-in-Charge of the NCRPO, directed regional units to maintain aggressive, lawful enforcement of court orders to ensure suspects facing severe charges are held accountable.
“Sexual violence is a grave offense, and no one facing such charges should believe that distance, time, or concealment will place them beyond the reach of the law,” Abrahano stated following the arrest.
“The NCRPO will keep pressing forward against wanted persons and will ensure that they are brought before the courts through lawful and proper procedures,” Abrahano added.
Upon apprehension, officers informed the suspect of the charges and read his constitutional rights in Tagalog. Authorities then transported him to the Quezon City General Hospital for a mandatory medico-legal examination.
Following the medical review, police transferred the suspect to Holy Spirit Police Station 14 for documentation and disposition. The arresting unit will formally return the original warrant to the court of origin to initiate judicial proceedings.
The NCRPO reiterated its commitment to maintaining heightened vigilance and operational readiness across Metro Manila to safeguard public safety and uphold regional peace and order.
