REGIONAL law enforcement efforts netted 29 wanted persons while 61 municipalities across the Cordillera region recorded zero crime incidents during a weeklong anti-criminality drive conducted from August 30 to September 5, 2026.
Data released by the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) showed that Baguio City Police Office (CPO) spearheaded the operations with 14 arrests, followed by Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) with seven.
Abra PPO arrested three fugitives, Ifugao PPO nabbed two, while Apayao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province PPOs recorded one arrest each.
Of the 29 individuals apprehended, four were classified as Most Wanted Persons (MWPs)—two operating at the Regional Level and two at the Municipal Level.
Simultaneously, heightened police presence and community partnership resulted in zero crime incidents recorded across 61 municipalities.
Abra led the tally with 24 crime-free municipalities, followed by Benguet and Mountain Province with 10 each, Ifugao with seven, and Apayao and Kalinga with five each.
In Baguio City, Police Stations 5 and 6 also maintained zero recorded crimes for the week.
During the same period, PRO CAR posted a Crime Clearance Efficiency (CCE) of 84.44% and a Crime Solution Efficiency (CSE) of 80.00%.
PRO CAR Regional Director PBGen. Noel B. Vallo reaffirmed that law enforcement units across the region will maintain intensified operations and proactive patrolling to ensure public safety throughout the Cordillera.
