POLICE officers arrested a 29-year-old street-level drug suspect and confiscated nearly half a million pesos worth of suspected shabu during a pre-dawn buy-bust operation along Gatchalian Drive in Barangay Manuyo Dos on Thursday, August 27, 2026.

Operatives from the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Las Piñas City Police Station, led by Chief of Police PCol. Fermin D. Armendarez III, conducted the targeted sting around 2:43 AM under official PDEA Coordination No. 17-00-08262026-038.

Officers took the suspect into custody immediately following a successful transaction with an undercover poseur-buyer.

During the arrest, police recovered four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 71.10 grams of a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.

The seized drugs carry an estimated Standard Drug Price of ₱483,480. Law enforcement also recovered three ₱100 bills used as marked buy-bust money alongside a black leather sunglasses case used to store the items.

The suspect remains in police custody while formal complaints for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are prepared for inquest proceedings before the Las Piñas City Prosecutor’s Office.

Southern Police District Director PBGen. Glenn Oliver C. Cinco reiterated that the district will continue its sustained anti-illegal drug campaign across its area of responsibility in coordination with national law enforcement partners.
