OPERATIVES of the Las Piñas City Police Station apprehended a 34-year-old security guard listed as a Most Wanted Person following an evening operation in Barangay Zapote on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.
Members of the local Warrant and Subpoena Section served the long-standing warrant around 8:30 PM at the Sarao Compound, arresting the suspect identified by the police alias “Kibong,” a local resident.
The arrest resolves an eight-year pursuit under Criminal Case No. 17-1194 for frustrated homicide.
Presiding Judge Ismael T. Duldulao of the Las Piñas City Regional Trial Court Branch 197 originally issued the non-bailable warrant on January 19, 2018.
Officers utilized an alternative recording device during the operation to ensure full adherence to Supreme Court guidelines on police procedures.
Operatives also read the suspect his constitutional rights upon taking him into custody. He is currently held at the Las Piñas City Police Station Custodial Facility in Barangay Pamplona 3 while awaiting a formal commitment order from the issuing court.
Southern Police District Director PBGen. Glenn Oliver C. Cinco commended the arresting unit for tracking down the suspect and serving the aged warrant.
“The SPD will continue to locate and arrest wanted persons to ensure that they face the charges against them before the proper courts,” Cinco said in a statement.
