THE National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has stepped up its anti-narcotics campaign, vowing to dismantle clandestine drug dens and systematically disrupt illegal drug supply chains across the metropolis following recent high-profile operations in Las Piñas and Makati.
The renewed push comes on the heels of successive police interventions that led to the dismantling of suspected drug hideouts, the arrest of 18 individuals, and the seizure of illegal drugs valued at more than ₱1.7 million.
NCRPO Officer-in-Charge Police Brigadier General Christopher Abrahano emphasized that law enforcement efforts extend far beyond routine street-level apprehensions, targeting the syndicate networks sustaining the illegal drug trade.
“Our campaign will not stop at arresting individuals,” PBGEN Abrahano stated. “We will pursue the networks behind these operations and take lawful action to prevent drug dens from continuing to threaten our communities.”
In response to the recent successful busts, Abrahano directed intelligence operatives, the five regional police districts, and all operating units to intensify intelligence gathering and track supply vectors.
He instructed police commanders to rapidly validate community tips, foster inter-unit coordination, and ensure every operation strictly adheres to established legal protocols.
At the same time, the NCRPO chief appealed to local residents and barangay officials to remain vigilant and proactive in reporting suspicious narcotics activities, stressing that public collaboration is essential for uncovering hidden drug operations and keeping neighborhoods secure.
“The public can be assured that the NCRPO will sustain its anti-drug campaign,” Abrahano added. “We will remain vigilant, act on credible information, and hold those responsible accountable under the law.”
