POLICE officers from the Cauayan Component City Police Station have rolled out a multi-school safety drive focused on crime prevention, personal security, and active shooter response protocols for elementary students and school staff.
Led by PLT Judivina A. Ballesteros, Chief of the Community Affairs Division (CAD/FJGAD), officers coordinated directly with school administrators before delivering specialized safety lectures across several campuses, including Union Elementary School, Cauayan East Central School in Barangay Villa Concepcion, and Baculod Elementary School in Barangay Baculod.
The outreach program equips students, teachers, and campus personnel with actionable procedures to identify potential risks and respond effectively during critical incidents.
Highlighting emergency readiness, the lectures provided specific guidance on Active Shooter Incident Preparedness and Response to ensure school communities know how to react swiftly in the event of an armed intruder.
Alongside emergency protocols, CAD PNCO PSSg Julius P. Arubio and other participating officers shared daily crime prevention tips, personal safety habits, and situational awareness practices for students to use both on campus and in their local neighborhoods.
The initiative reflects the Philippine National Police’s broader commitment to community-oriented policing, building strong relationships with local educators, and maintaining safe, resilient, and child-friendly learning environments throughout Cauayan City.
