A multi-agency security operation led by the Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7) ensured the safe and peaceful conclusion of the 2026 Bar Examinations at the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Basak Campus in Cebu City on September 13.
Authorities reported no untoward incidents throughout the testing period, attributing the smooth implementation to proactive planning, strategic personnel deployment, and continuous monitoring.
A multi-agency force of 203 personnel was deployed around the venue to manage security, direct traffic, handle crowd control, and provide emergency medical response.
The operational team comprised units from PRO7, the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), the Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO), the Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), local Barangay Public Safety Officers (BPSO), and the USJ-R medical team.
Despite rainy weather and a crowd of approximately 1,500 supporters gathered outside the campus to cheer on examinees, security teams successfully maintained orderly traffic flow and crowd movement.
Following the conclusion of the examinations, the CCPO conducted a post-operation debriefing to review the deployment and document operational lessons for future major-event security coverages.
PRO7 Regional Director PBGen. Arnold E. Abad commended the inter-agency personnel for their vigilance and coordination, while expressing appreciation to university officials, examinees, and the public for their cooperation.
“The peaceful conclusion of the 2026 Bar Examinations reflects PRO7’s proactive planning, strategic deployment, and strong inter-agency coordination,” Abad said, emphasizing the command’s readiness to secure large-scale public events across the region.
