A year-long manhunt came to an end after police arrested a businesswoman listed among Manila’s most wanted individuals outside a local church on Del Pilar Street, Malate.
Authorities identified the suspect by her alias, “Cath,” 40, a resident of Modesto Street, Malate. She ranks as the top most wanted person at the station level and sixth at the district level.
Personnel from the Malate Police Station (PS-9) apprehended Cath during an Oplan Pagtugis operation led by Warrant and Subpoena Section Chief PLT Kelly James A. Isip, under the supervision of Station Commander PLTCOL Norman M. Patnaan.
According to a report submitted to Manila Police District (MPD) Chief PBGen. Atty. Arnold C. Santiago, the arrest was executed via a warrant issued on March 28, 2025, by Branch 182 of the Regional Trial Court of the National Capital Judicial Region in Manila.
The suspect faces charges for violating the Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act of 1995 (Republic Act No. 8042, as amended by RA 10022), specifically regarding illegal recruitment. Court records indicate no bail was recommended.
Officers informed the suspect of her constitutional rights in Tagalog prior to processing.
Cath is currently held at the PS-9 custodial facility awaiting a court commitment order, as local police pledge to sustain targeted intelligence operations against wanted fugitives in the district.
