TWO police officers from the 2nd Sarangani Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd SPMFC) went beyond their standard law enforcement duties to assist a woman requiring urgent medical attention in Glan, Sarangani Province.
The patient, who had recently undergone a cesarean section, was en route to the nearest hospital when her transport encountered a major obstacle at the damaged Aquino Bridge.
Recognizing the physical hazard and the urgency of the situation, Police Corporal Bryan M. Morad and Police Corporal Christian Dave A. Benito stepped in to help.
Operating under the direct supervision of Police Lieutenant Colonel Hoover T. Antonio, the two officers personally assisted the post-operative patient in safely navigating the damaged bridge infrastructure.
Their immediate action ensured she reached the medical facility without delay or further complication.
The incident highlights the broader role of law enforcement personnel acting as emergency responders and community partners during critical situations.
By prioritizing patient safety over difficult physical conditions, the officers exemplified the principle of “Tamang Gawa, Tamang Gawi” (Right Action, Right Conduct) through direct community support.
