JOINT operatives of the Las Piñas City Police Station (CPS) arrested the Regional Capital Region Police Office’s (NCRPO) top 7 most wanted person during a morning operation in Barangay Zapote on Friday, September 4, 2026.
Authorities identified the suspect by the alias “Rodney,” 23, unemployed, who was apprehended at his residence at around 11:15 AM.
The operation was carried out by personnel from the Daniel Fajardo Sub-station alongside operatives from the warrant and subpoena section and special investigation section of the Las Piñas CPS, under the direct supervision of Police Colonel Fermin D. Armendarez III, Chief of Police.
Rodney was taken into custody by virtue of an arrest warrant for rape under criminal case No. 26-0828, issued on July 31, 2026, by the Presiding Judge of Branch 255 of the Las Piñas City Regional Trial Court. The court recommended no bail for the accused.
Following his arrest, police brought the suspect to the Las Piñas City Police Station Custodial Facility in Barangay Pamplona 3, where he remains detained while awaiting the court’s issuance of a commitment order.
Southern Police District (SPD) Director PBGen. Glenn Oliver C. Cinco affirmed that the district will continue to intensify manhunt operations across the region to track down fugitives with standing warrants and ensure they face judicial accountability.
