OPERATIVES of the Philippine National Police–Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) served a warrant of arrest on a woman wanted for alleged estafa through falsification of public documents inside the Baguio City Jail Female Dormitory on September 6, 2026.
Personnel from the La Union Provincial Highway Patrol Team (PHPT), operating alongside the Regional Highway Patrol Unit–Cordillera Administrative Region (RHPU-CAR), tracked down the accused following targeted intelligence gathering and verification efforts.
In coordination with local jail authorities, the team served the warrant issued on August 28, 2026, by Branch 1 of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) in San Fernando City, La Union.
The warrant stems from Criminal Case No. 45451, with recommended bail set at ₱36,000.
Upon service of the order, law enforcement personnel informed the accused of the specific charges against her and recited her constitutional rights in a language she understood.
Police Brigadier General Joyce Patrick B. Sangalang, Acting Director of the HPG, commended the involved units for their inter-agency coordination and meticulous tracking.
Sangalang stated that the operation underscores the HPG’s commitment to enforcing court mandates while maintaining strict adherence to constitutional rights and due process.
