CENTRAL Luzon law enforcement agencies escalated anti-narcotics enforcement across Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, and Bataan through targeted buy-bust operations and facility inspections in late August 2026.
Commencing in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, joint teams from the PDEA Nueva Ecija Provincial Office and local police executed a buy-bust operation at around 5:40 PM on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.
Operatives raided a drug den in Barangay San Juan Accfa, arresting six suspects identified by their aliases: Lyn-Lyn, 26; JM, 23; Dan, 34; Rian, 29; Binoy, 18; and Tonyo, 22.
Officers seized nine transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 11 grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱74,800, alongside marked buy-bust money and drug paraphernalia.
Sustaining the momentum on Thursday, August 27, 2026, PDEA Region 3 operatives and the Magalang Police Station dismantled another active drug den in Barangay Sta. Lucia, Magalang, Pampanga, around 2:11 PM.
Authorities apprehended 20-year-old alleged operator alias Juju, along with three accomplices: Elvis, 18; Peter, 21; and Gelo, 26.
Law enforcement confiscated roughly 10 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱68,000, buy-bust cash, and drug equipment.
Seized substances were transferred to the PDEA-3 Laboratory for forensic analysis, while suspects remain in custody at the PDEA-3 jail facility in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, pending charges under Republic Act 9165.
Simultaneously on August 27, PDEA Bataan Provincial Office, the Bataan Seaport Interdiction Unit, and PDEA K9 units partnered with the BJMP Regional Office III for a joint Greyhound Operation in Brgy. Doña, Orani, Bataan.
The initiative covered the Bataan District Jail Male and Female Dormitories, Balanga City Jail, and Dinalupihan Municipal Jail.
Specialized K9 sweeps and mandatory drug testing were administered to both Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) and BJMP personnel.
Results returned entirely negative for dangerous drugs, controlled precursors, and essential chemicals, confirming clean operations within the regional jail facilities.
