THE Southern Police District (SPD) confiscated more than ₱4 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested eight drug personalities, including a high-value individual, during a series of intensive anti-drug operations conducted within a 24-hour window from October 17 to 18, 2026.
Led by District Director Police Brigadier General Rodel A. Pastor, SPD operating units executed eight separate operations across the district’s area of responsibility.
The raids resulted in the total recovery of 596.79 grams of suspected shabu carrying an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱4,058,400.
Out of the eight individuals apprehended, one was classified as a high-value individual (HVI), while the remaining seven were tagged as street-level individuals (SLIs).
All suspects have been placed under police custody and are facing formal criminal complaints for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
PBGen. Pastor emphasized that the successful 24-hour sweep underscores the effectiveness of the district’s intelligence-driven strategies and coordinated law enforcement efforts.
“We will continue to strengthen our intelligence-driven operations and pursue those involved in the illegal drug trade,” PBGen. Pastor stated.
“Our objective is clear: disrupt the distribution of illegal drugs, hold offenders accountable, and keep our communities safe,” Pastor added.
He also extended his gratitude to the public, urging citizens to continue reporting suspicious drug activities to authorities as timely community cooperation remains a vital pillar in local policing.
Guided by its core T.S.A.P.A. principles (Trustworthy, Service-Oriented, Accessible, Professional, and Accountable), the SPD assured residents that it will maintain relentless, lawful operations to ensure peace, order, and public safety across southern Metro Manila.
