A suspected drug den in Barangay Poblacion was successfully dismantled by the Southern Police District (SPD) during a late-night buy-bust operation on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
The raid resulted in the arrest of 13 individuals and the confiscation of various illicit substances valued at nearly ₱1 million.
Under the leadership of SPD District Director PBGen. Rodel A. Pastor, operatives swooped down on the location at approximately 11:58 PM.
Among those apprehended was a 53-year-old newly identified high-value individual and alleged drug pusher, designated as alias “Nok,” who faces multiple charges for violating Sections 5, 6, 8, and 13 of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Twelve other individuals—identified by aliases “Non,” “Ric,” “Dom,” “MJ,” “Kay,” “Tin,” “Marie,” “JM,” “Mig,” “Stan,” “Joe,” and “Far”—were also arrested at the scene for violations of various provisions under the same anti-drug law relating to visiting and maintaining drug dens, possession, and conspiracy.

The operation yielded a massive haul of dangerous drugs, including approximately 28.4 grams of suspected shabu, 56 grams of suspected cocaine, 6.4 grams of suspected marijuana (kush), 2.5 liters of suspected liquid ecstasy, 102 tablets and 14 capsules of ecstasy, 59.53 grams of ketamine, and 32.10 grams of MDMA.
Law enforcement agents also recovered drug paraphernalia, weighing scales, lighters, mobile phones, and the marked buy-bust money.
The total Standard Drug Price value of the confiscated contraband reached ₱994,370.00.
PBGen. Pastor underscored the critical importance of neutralizing establishments that foster illegal drug trade and consumption within communities.
“Hindi lang pusher ang problema. Kailangan nating putulin ang buong drug activity sa loob ng mga drug den. Kapag may lugar na nagsisilbing sentro ng bentahan at paggamit ng illegal drugs, hindi natin ito hahayaang magpatuloy,” Pastor stated, vowing to sustain intense police operations against narcotics syndicates across the southern district.
All 13 suspects were transferred to the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU-SPD) office for proper documentation, medical clearance, and the filing of formal criminal complaints before the prosecutor’s office.
