THE National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) dealt a significant blow to the illegal drug trade in southern Metro Manila following two separate anti-narcotics operations on October 3, 2026.
The swift police actions resulted in the dismantling of an active drug den, the arrest of six individuals, and the seizure of approximately 131.07 grams of suspected shabu with a combined Standard Drug Price of ₱891,276.00.
The first operation unfolded at around 7:17 PM in Barangay Manuyo Uno, Las Piñas City.
Operatives from the Southern Police District and the local police station raided a suspected drug den, leading to the apprehension of five suspects.
Authorities identified two of the suspects—a 55-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man—as High-Value Individuals.
The three remaining suspects, including a 48-year-old man and two women aged 41 and 34, were classified as Street-Level Individuals.
During the raid, law enforcers recovered seven heat-sealed plastic sachets containing roughly 105 grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱714,000.00, alongside marked transaction money, an envelope, and a mobile phone.
The primary female suspect faces serious charges for violations of Sections 5, 6, and 13 of Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, while the other four face complaints under Sections 13 and 26 in relation to Section 5 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
Less than an hour later, at approximately 8:00 PM, Taguig City Police personnel executed a second operation in Barangay Napindan.
They arrested a 33-year-old male listed as a Street-Level Individual. Seized from his possession were five heat-sealed sachets containing about 26.07 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱177,276.00, buy-bust money, and a coin purse.
He now faces complaints for violating Sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165.
NCRPO Officer-in-Charge PBGEN Christopher N Abrahano stated that the successful raids highlight the strict enforcement of the Enhanced Managing Police Operations framework under the strategic agenda of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C Nartatez, Jr.
“Turning a home or any place into a market for illegal drugs does not put it beyond our reach,” PBGEN Abrahano emphasized. “There is no address in Metro Manila where the illegal drug trade can claim sanctuary.”
He also commended SPD District Director PBGEN Rodel A Pastor and the participating operatives for their coordination. All six suspects remain in police custody pending the formal filing of legal charges.
