THE National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported major operational gains across Metro Manila following a month-long crime suppression drive under the Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) framework, spanning August 23 to September 23.
The intensive campaign marked the first month under the leadership of Police Brigadier General Christopher N. Abrahano as NCRPO Officer-in-Charge.
Anti-narcotics operations led to the seizure of dried marijuana, kush, and other illicit drugs valued at an estimated ₱254.85 million.
Authorities stated the confiscations dealt a direct blow to local distribution networks.
On illegal gambling, police executed 1,003 targeted operations, arresting 2,133 individuals and confiscating ₱504,783 in bet money alongside various gambling equipment.
Operations against unlicensed weapons yielded 309 firearms recovered and 303 suspects arrested across 298 separate law enforcement actions aimed at curbing violent crime.
In warrant enforcement, operatives apprehended 1,466 wanted individuals, comprising 490 listed as Most Wanted Persons and 976 classified as Other Wanted Persons.
All arrestees have been processed for legal proceedings.
Abrahano commended NCRPO personnel for their execution of the program emphasizing that consistent preparation, proactive intervention, and swift response remain central to securing the capital region.
