THE Officers and Ladies Club Foundation, Inc. (OLCFI) brought cheer and educational support to young learners at the Cagayan Police Provincial Office (Cagayan PPO) Child Development Center during a Family Day event on September 21, 2026, at Jollibee Tanza.
Led by OLCFI President Mrs. Beverly Rodriguez, the gathering brought together children, parents, and guardians for a day of interactive games and family bonding.
The celebration featured a special appearance by the iconic Jollibee mascot, along with the distribution of toys to the young participants.
Speaking at the event, Mrs. Rodriguez highlighted the vital role of active parenting in early childhood development.
She urged parents and guardians to build strong connections with their children through quality time, open communication, and steady emotional guidance.
Beyond the recreational festivities, OLCFI reinforced its commitment to early education by donating a laptop and printer to the learning center.
The equipment was formally received by center teacher Mrs. Judith V. Mangupag, who noted that the technology will streamline the preparation of daily lesson plans, instructional materials, and learning resources.
“Family Day serves as a meaningful reminder of the home’s essential role in providing children with a secure, nurturing environment where they feel valued and inspired to grow,” Mrs. Rodriguez noted during the turnover.
Organized in partnership with Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2), the initiative highlights OLCFI’s broader mission to strengthen family ties within the law enforcement community while supporting early childhood literacy.
Through ongoing social welfare projects, the foundation continues to foster compassion, family solidarity, and community support for young learners across the region.
