POLICE Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) has strengthened its ranks in the Caraga Region following the formal oath-taking of 202 new police recruits at Camp Col. Rafael C. Rodriguez in Libertad, Butuan City, on September 16, 2026.
The oath-taking ceremony, administered by PRO 13 Director Police Brigadier General Rolindo M. Suguilon, officially welcomed the recruits under the 2026 Attrition and Regular Recruitment Program.
The new class includes 129 recruits under the Attrition Quota (88 males and 41 females) and 73 under the Regular Quota (53 males and 20 females).
During the ceremony, members of the Regional Screening Committee received plaques of appreciation for overseeing the selection process.
Addressing the recruits alongside their families and friends, PBGen. Suguilon emphasized the core values of the profession: “The uniform may identify you as members of the Philippine National Police, but your character, integrity, courage, and faithfulness to duty will define the kind of police officer you become.”
The recruits now head to the Regional Training Center in Lipata, Surigao City, for six months of rigorous Public Safety Basic Recruit Course training.
As entry-level officers, they will receive a basic monthly salary of ₱31,151 along with standard allowances and benefits.
The recruitment milestone comes shortly after PRO 13 successfully secured and participated in the region-wide Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat 2026 service caravans on September 14.
Deploying personnel across key venues in Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Sur, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat Islands, the regional police maintained safety and order while directly providing essential government services.
PRO 13 established PNP Help Desks and issued police clearances on-site, serving a total of 377 beneficiaries during the rollouts.
PBGen. Suguilon commended the deployed personnel for their dual role in maintaining public safety and actively bringing crucial administrative police services closer to Caraga communities.
