INTENSIFIED anti-illegal drug operations across three Metro Manila cities resulted in the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of approximately ₱765,204 worth of suspected shabu, alongside a firearm and live ammunition.
The coordinated sting operations were conducted in Quezon City, Caloocan City, and Valenzuela City under the leadership of National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Officer-in-Charge PBGen. Christopher N. Abrahano. In total, police operatives confiscated around 112.53 grams of illegal drugs.
In Quezon City, operatives from the QCPD Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a buy-bust operation at around 10:45 p.m. on September 17, 2026, along Calavite Street in Barangay Salvacion.
Authorities arrested a 24-year-old street-level suspect after seizing 15.53 grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱105,604.
Operatives also recovered a digital weighing scale, buy-bust money, a motorcycle, a cellular phone, and a loaded .22 caliber revolver with two live rounds.
Meanwhile, Northern Police District (NPD) agents launched a separate buy-bust at Barangay 188, Tala, Caloocan City, arresting a 33-year-old male. The operation yielded 22 grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱149,600.
The largest haul occurred in Valenzuela City, where local Drug Enforcement Unit operatives—equipped with body-worn cameras and in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)—arrested a 43-year-old female along Sitio Dulong Tangke, Barangay Malinta.
Authorities recovered 75 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱510,000, along with marked money and personal effects.
All three suspects face criminal complaints for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
The Quezon City suspect will face additional charges under Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
“Illegal drugs destroy lives, families, and communities — and those who peddle them will continue to face the full force of the law,” PBGen. Abrahano stated, emphasizing that the NCRPO remains steadfast in executing precise, intelligence-driven operations while strictly upholding human rights and due process.
