A fugitive listed as one of Makati City’s most wanted criminals was tracked down and apprehended during a joint police operation in Palawan on Wednesday afternoon, September 16, 2026.
Joint elements from the Southern Police District (SPD) and local Palawan authorities arrested 21-year-old alias “John,” identified as the top 4 most wanted person at the station level for July 2026.
The suspect was captured around 2:30 P.M. in Barangay Model, Puerto Princesa City.
The arrest was executed by personnel from the Makati City Police Station’s warrant and subpoena section alongside officers from Police Station 1 of the Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO).
The team served an arrest warrant issued on June 11, 2024, by Judge of the Family Court, Branch 3, Makati City, under Criminal Case No. R-MKT-19-02885-CR.
The suspect faces grave charges of robbery with homicide, a non-bailable offense.
Upon his arrest, officers informed the suspect of his constitutional Miranda rights in a language he understood. He chose to exercise his right to remain silent.
SPD District Director Police Brigadier General Rodel A. Pastor noted that the suspect is currently held in the custody of PPCPO Police Station 1.
Police units are preparing the formal return of the arrest warrant to the issuing court in Makati City for proper legal disposition.
