ANTI-narcotics operatives arrested five individuals and seized over ₱204,000 worth of suspected shabu during a late-night buy-bust operation along Jasmine Street in Twinville Subdivision, Barangay Concepcion Uno, on Saturday, September 12.
Elements of the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) under the Eastern Police District (EPD) conducted the sting around 11:55 p.m. following validated intelligence and coordination with anti-drug authorities.
Police identified the primary suspect as alias “Shar,” a 34-year-old female, who was arrested alongside four male companions: “Ed,” 57; “Dar,” 32; “Ian,” 34; and “Boy,” 44.
Confiscated during the operation were eight heat-sealed plastic sachets containing approximately 30.01 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated standard drug price of ₱204,680, as well as the buy-bust money used by undercover officers.
EPD District Director PBGen. Roman C. Arugay praised the operating unit for the successful bust, reiterating the command’s commitment to curbing illegal drug distribution across Metro Manila.
“This operation reflects the unwavering commitment of the Eastern Police District to aggressively pursue individuals engaged in the illegal drug trade,” Arugay said.
“Every gram of illegal drugs removed from our streets represents lives protected, families safeguarded, and communities made safer,” added Arugay.
The suspects were brought to the DDEU office for booking procedures and documentation.
They face criminal charges for violations of Sections 5 (Sale) and 11 (Possession), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, before the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office.
