THE Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7) enhanced its organizational leadership across Central Visayas as six senior Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs) were officially promoted from Police Major to the rank of Police Lieutenant Colonel.
The newly promoted officers formally took their oath and donned their new insignia during the Simultaneous Oath Taking and Donning of Ranks ceremony held on September 11, 2026, at Camp Sergio Osmeña, Sr. in Cebu City.
The advancement was carried out under the 3rd Quarter CY 2026 Police Lieutenant Colonel Continuous Promotion Program.
The promotees elevated to the rank of Police Lieutenant Colonel are Lean Rey A. Endozo, Michael C. Gingoyon, Jeremie Sheila V. Gurtiza, Jovito L. Labra, Arieza V. Otida, and Eraño S. Regidor.
Presiding over the ceremony, PRO7 Regional Director PBGen. Arnold E. Abad congratulated the six officers, noting that their advancement reflects their extensive field experience, professional competence, and sustained dedication to the police service.
“Today, we at PRO7 gained renewed strength in our leadership ranks, as we welcome another group of Police Lieutenant Colonels into positions of greater command responsibility,” Abad stated. “Their promotion further strengthens our leadership capability, as we entrust them with a greater role in guiding our people, strengthening our units, and advancing our mission.”
Abad reminded the promotees that their new rank brings heightened operational expectations and accountability. He urged them to exercise their command authority with strict integrity while maintaining public trust across the communities they safeguard.
The promotion initiative aligns with the 5-Focus Agenda of PNP Chief PGen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., specifically emphasizing officer morale and welfare by recognizing merit and performance.
Through its Continuous Promotion Program, the PNP ensures career progression for qualified personnel, motivating the workforce toward high standards of public service.
Abad expressed confidence that the newly promoted commanders will inspire Team PRO7 to deliver responsive law enforcement across the region.
