POLICE seized approximately ₱1.36 million worth of suspected shabu and an illegal firearm during an early morning drug sting in Barangay New Lower Bicutan, leading to the arrest of four high-value individuals (HVIs).
The Southern Police District’s District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU-SPD), led by PMAJ Cecilio G. Tomas Jr., conducted the joint buy-bust operation alongside Taguig CPS Sub-Station 9 and the Tactical Motorcycle Riding Unit around 1:10 AM along Roldan Street, Purok 2.
Officers arrested four suspects at the scene, identified by police as alias “Tol,” 37; alias “Michelle,” 35; alias “Jamiel,” 20; and alias “Junel,” 28.
The bust was triggered after an undercover officer successfully completed a transaction with alias Tol.
Operatives confiscated six heat-sealed plastic sachets containing roughly 200 grams of suspected shabu.
Authorities also recovered a loaded Glock 17 Gen 5 9mm pistol with seven live rounds from alias Tol, along with the buy-bust money, a cellular phone, and a sling wallet.
The suspects are currently held at the DDEU office for processing. Charges are being prepared against them for drug sale, possession, and conspiracy under Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), as well as illegal possession of firearms under Republic Act 10591.
SPD Director PBGen. Rodel A. Pastor commended the operating units for the seizure, reaffirming the district’s commitment to dismantling local drug networks and removing loose firearms from the streets.
