A listed high-value target was arrested in Taguig City on Tuesday evening after anti-narcotics operatives seized over ₱376,000 worth of suspected shabu during a targeted buy-bust operation.
Operatives from the Taguig City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), led by Chief of Police PCOL Julius C. Añonuevo, together with personnel from Sub-Station 10, executed the entrapment around 9:00 PM along Jasmin Street in Barangay Pembo.
Authorities identified the suspect as 44-year-old alias “Jessie,” an unemployed resident of the area.
An undercover officer successfully negotiated a drug deal with the suspect, prompting responding law enforcers to move in and make the arrest.
During the search, police confiscated nine heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 55.3 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated Standard Drug Price of ₱376,040.
Officers also recovered a black-and-white pouch, genuine buy-bust money, and boodle money used in the sting.
The suspect was informed of his constitutional rights and transported to the SDEU office for documentation.
Formal charges for violations of Section 5 (Sale) and Section 11 (Possession) of Article II under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are currently being prepared for filing against him.
Southern Police District Director PBGEN Rodel A. Pastor commended the Taguig police force for the successful arrest, reaffirming the district’s commitment to intensifying anti-illegal drug operations and maintaining safety across local communities.
