ANTI-illegal drug operations conducted by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) across Taguig and Valenzuela cities on September 9, 2026, led to the arrest of five high-value drug personalities and the recovery of ₱1,792,480 worth of suspected shabu, an illegal handgun, and live ammunition.
The initial sting unfolded around 1:10 AM along Roldan Street in Barangay New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City.
Operatives from the Southern Police District–District Drug Enforcement Unit (SPD-DDEU), alongside the Taguig City Police Station Sub Station 9 and the Traffic Management and Reaction Unit, carried out a targeted buy-bust operation.
Authorities apprehended four high-value targets aged 20 to 37 during the transaction.
In addition to six heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, officers seized buy-bust money, mobile phones, and personal items.
Operatives also confiscated a Glock 17 Gen 5 9mm pistol loaded with seven rounds of live ammunition from the primary 37-year-old suspect.
The four individuals were taken into custody at the SPD-DDEU for documentation and face charges under Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), while the primary suspect faces an additional charge under R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
Hours later, at 4:49 AM, personnel from the Northern Police District–District Drug Enforcement Unit (NPD-DDEU) launched a second buy-bust along E. Pacheco in Barangay Punturin, Valenzuela City.
The operation resulted in the arrest of a 45-year-old high-value individual and the confiscation of two plastic sachets containing roughly 63.6 grams of suspected shabu, valued at ₱432,480. Charges under Sections 5 and 11 of R.A. 9165 are being prepared for inquest proceedings before the Valenzuela City Prosecutor’s Office.
NCRPO Officer-in-Charge PBGEN Christopher N. Abrahano commended the teams, emphasizing that intelligence-driven operations remain vital in dismantling drug supply lines and keeping dangerous firearms off the streets.
