OPERATIVES of the Eastern Police District (EPD) arrested a 40-year-old woman during a targeted law enforcement operation in Pasig City on September 8.
The suspect, identified by the alias “Lori,” a resident of Plainview, Mandaluyong City, was apprehended at approximately 1:40 PM by joint teams from the Pasig City Police Station’s follow-up section and warrant and subpoena section.
The arrest was served via two warrants issued by Branch 155 of the Pasig City Regional Trial Court for 45 counts of qualified theft under the revised penal code, in relation to Section 6 of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10175).
Court records indicate that 35 counts carry a recommended bail of ₱40,000 each, while the remaining 10 counts carry a recommended bail of ₱30,000 each, bringing the total bail amount to ₱1.7 million.
Following her arrest, the suspect was brought to the Rizal Medical Center for a routine medical examination before being turned over to the Pasig City Police Station Custodial Facility, where she remains in custody pending a court commitment order.
EPD District Director PBGen. Roman C. Arugay commended the arresting officers for their efforts, emphasizing that locating and apprehending wanted individuals remains a core priority in the police district’s campaign to uphold the rule of law and maintain order across its jurisdiction.
