POLICE operatives arrested two street-level drug personalities and seized ₱8,024 worth of suspected shabu during separate anti-illegal drug operations conducted across Abra on September 4, 2026.
In Bucay, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant in Barangay Dugong, leading to the arrest of a 53-year-old male suspect classified as a street level individual (SLI).
Operatives recovered a sachet containing approximately 0.84 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price (SDP) of ₱5,712 from his residence.
The joint operation was spearheaded by the Bucay Municipal Police Station (MPS), alongside the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, Abra PPO’s Provincial Intelligence Unit and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Regional Intelligence Unit 14, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency–CAR.
On the same day, Bangued MPS operatives nabbed a 43-year-old SLI in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Lingtan.
The suspect was taken into custody after selling 0.11 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱748 to an undercover police officer posing as a buyer.
Upon searching the suspect, officers seized an additional sachet weighing 0.23 grams, valued at ₱1,564.
Both suspects and the confiscated drug evidence remain in the custody of the respective operating units for documentation and processing.
The apprehended individuals will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
