POLICE Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) arrested three Top Most Wanted Persons (TMWPs) and another wanted individual in a series of intensified manhunt operations conducted across the region from September 5 to 6, 2026.
Among those apprehended was PRO CAR’s No. 1 Regional-Level Top Most Wanted Person, who was nabbed in Boliney, Abra.
The suspect faces charges of statutory rape and lascivious conduct in relation to Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
The arrest was carried out through a joint operation by the Boliney Municipal Police Station (MPS), Abra Provincial Mobile Force Companies (PMFCs), Abra Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15 (RMFB 15), and Regional Intelligence Unit 14 (RIU-14).
In Kalinga, joint police units captured the No. 3 Provincial-Level TMWP in the municipality of Balbalan.
The individual was wanted for four counts of lascivious conduct under R.A. 7610 following an operation led by the 2nd Kalinga PMFC, Balbalan MPS, Kalinga PIU, and the Regional Intelligence Division (RID).
A separate operation in Barangay Kamog, Sablan, Benguet, led to the arrest of Sablan’s No. 2 Municipal-Level TMWP.
The suspect was served a warrant for lascivious conduct and two counts of unjust vexation by operatives from Sablan MPS, Benguet PIU, 2nd Benguet PMFC, and RIU-14.
Additionally, a 34-year-old wanted person facing charges for violating Republic Act 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004) was tracked down and arrested in Dinalungan, Aurora.
The operation involved multi-agency coordination between Mountain Province police units, Aurora PPO, CIDG Mountain Province, and RID-PRO CAR.
Police officials noted that the successful two-day crackdown highlights PRO CAR’s ongoing campaign to track down fugitives and ensure individuals facing criminal charges are brought before the court.
