JOINT operatives of the Philippine National Police–Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) arrested a fugitive listed as the agency’s seventh most wanted person during an intelligence-led operation in Barangay Baliling on September 4, 2026.
Operating units from the Pangasinan Provincial Highway Patrol Team (PHPT), leading the operation alongside Tarlac PHPT, apprehended the suspect at a local restaurant following targeted surveillance.
The arrest was carried out under two Bench Warrants of Arrest issued on August 11, 2026, by Judge Presiding of Branch 74, Metropolitan Trial Court in Taguig City.
The suspect faces three counts of violating Batas Pambansa Blg. 22 (the Bouncing Checks Law) under Criminal Case Nos. 26-40433, 26-40334, and 26-40335. Total recommended bail for the charges was set at ₱114,000.
Executing officers informed the accused of his constitutional rights in a language he understood prior to processing.
Police Brigadier General Joyce Patrick B. Sangalang, Acting Director of the PNP-HPG, praised the joint teams for their precise coordination and intelligence work in tracking down the high-profile fugitive.
“The successful arrest of a high-ranking individual on the HPG Top Ten Most Wanted Persons list demonstrates our continuing commitment to locating wanted persons through intelligence-driven and coordinated operations,” Sangalang said.
He added that the HPG remains steadfast in executing court warrants while strictly adhering to lawful procedures and constitutional rights.
