AIRPORT authorities arrested a 60-year-old male Filipino passenger at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on August 26, 2026, after routine immigration screening revealed an active arrest warrant against him.
The operation was conducted through coordinated efforts between the Bureau of Immigration (BI), NAIA Police Station 3, and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Regional Field Unit–National Capital Region (CIDG RFU-NCR).
According to court records, the passenger was apprehended under an alias warrant of arrest for Rape in relation to Republic Act No. 7610, also known as the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act. No bail was recommended for his release.
The accused remains in the custody of CIDG RFU-NCR for proper documentation and subsequent legal proceedings.
“Time or place should not be an obstacle to enforcing court orders. Through the swift coordination of our police officers alongside airport authorities, we immediately addressed the warrant and brought the accused to face the proper process of the law,” said Police Brigadier General Dionisio B. Bartolome Jr., Director of the PNP Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP).
