NORTHERN Police District (NPD) officers apprehended seven wanted fugitives—including a high-profile murder suspect found with a firearm and explosives—during a coordinated “Warrant Day” operation conducted across the region on September 1, 2026.
NPD District Director PBGEN Benliner L. Capili confirmed that the day-long operation resulted in the arrest of one Top Most Wanted Person (TMWP), two Most Wanted Persons (MWPs), and four other individuals with active arrest warrants.
The highest-ranking arrest occurred in Barangay 178, Caloocan City, at approximately 4:20 AM.
Officers from Camarin Police Sub-Station 10 served dual arrest warrants on a 30-year-old unemployed male ranked as the station’s No. 2 Top Most Wanted Person. Issued by the Caloocan City Regional Trial Court, the warrants cited Murder with no bail recommended and Homicide with a set bail of ₱120,000.
During the arrest, police confiscated a loaded .38 caliber revolver from the suspect. Officers also seized a hand grenade and three improvised explosive devices (IEDs)—commonly known as pillbox bombs—found in plain view inside his residence.
He now faces additional charges for illegal possession of firearms and explosives under Republic Act No. 10591 and Republic Act No. 9516. The recovered explosives were transferred to the NPD Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit for examination.
In a separate operation in Barangay 32, Caloocan City, warrant and subpoena section personnel arrested a 19-year-old unemployed male wanted for two counts of statutory rape. The Family Court Branch 1 issued the arrest warrants with no bail recommended.
Meanwhile, Navotas City Police Station personnel arrested a 40-year-old truck driver in Barangay NBBS Kaunlaran at around 2:05 PM. He was apprehended under a theft warrant issued by the Malabon City Regional Trial Court to serve his sentence.
The arrested individuals were subjected to standard medical examinations prior to legal documentation and court return filings.
