THREE drug suspects were arrested in rapid succession across Manila, Valenzuela, and Taguig on Wednesday night, as police seized over ₱1.7 million worth of suspected shabu within a two-hour operational window.
The back-to-back anti-illegal drug stings netted approximately 260 grams of suspected shabu carrying a total Standard Drug Price of ₱1,768,000.
The spree began at around 9:45 PM in Barangay 649, Port Area, Manila.
Operatives from the Manila Police District Station 13 Drug Enforcement Unit, supported by the PNP Maritime BASECO team, arrested a 49-year-old laborer classified as a high-value individual (HVI) after catching him selling illegal drugs.
Officers recovered two heat-sealed sachets containing shabu valued at ₱204,000.
Less than an hour later, at 10:40 PM, Valenzuela City Police operatives arrested a 45-year-old street-level pusher in Barangay Canumay West, just meters from a public elementary school.
The suspect handed a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover buyer during the sting. Police confiscated ₱204,000 worth of drugs along with a motorcycle allegedly used in the trade.
Ten minutes later, at 10:50 PM, the Southern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit struck Barangay Lower Bicutan, Taguig City, arresting a 40-year-old high-value target.
Operatives seized four sachets of suspected shabu valued at ₱1,360,000—the largest single haul of the evening.
NCRPO Officer-in-Charge PBGEN Christopher N. Abrahano stated that the rapid operations demonstrate the regional command’s aggressive anti-drug posture.
“These operations show exactly how we intend to fight the drug trade—mabilis, diretsahan, at walang puwang para sa mga nagkakalat ng ilegal na droga,” PBGEN Abrahano said, emphasizing that taking over ₱1.7 million in contraband off the streets severely disrupts local supply chains.
The three suspects are currently held in police custody.
Formal complaints for the illegal sale and possession of dangerous drugs under Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being finalized for inquest proceedings before their respective city prosecutor’s offices.
