TWO newly identified high-value drug targets were arrested after police seized approximately ₱1.02 million worth of suspected shabu during an evening buy-bust operation on Friday, August 28, 2026.
The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspects as alias “Meri,” 52, a local vendor, and alias “Moamar,” 43, both residents of Barangay New Lower Bicutan.
At around 10:00 PM, joint elements from the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU-SPD) led by PMAJ Cecilio G. Tomas Jr., alongside the District Intelligence Division, Taguig City Police Station, and Sub-Station 9, executed the sting along MLQ C6 Extension Road.
An undercover officer acting as a poseur-buyer successfully purchased illegal drugs from the duo, prompting backup operatives to move in and apprehend them.
Law enforcers confiscated three heat-sealed plastic sachets containing around 150 grams of suspected shabu, valued at ₱1,020,000 under current standard drug pricing.
Officers also recovered a mobile phone used in the transaction and the buy-bust money enclosed in a white envelope.
The suspects were taken into custody at the DDEU-SPD office for documentation.
Formal charges for drug sale, possession, and conspiracy under Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared for filing in court.
