OPERATIVES of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) dismantled a newly emerging drug distribution cell after raiding a local hotel room, seizing ₱1.36 million worth of suspected shabu and arresting three high-value targets late Monday evening, August 31, 2026.
Joint elements from the Southern Police District (SPD) executed the buy-bust operation at around 9:11 PM inside Room 226 of a hotel in Barangay Guadalupe, intercepting the group mid-transaction.
Undercover officers arrested the primary suspect, a 29-year-old unemployed resident of Mandaluyong City, after he sold a quantity of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer.
Search teams recovered a sachet of suspected shabu, marked buy-bust money, a smartphone, a white envelope, and a digital weighing scale from his possession.
Police also apprehended two accomplices—both Mandaluyong-based construction workers aged 29 and 27—who were present inside the room.
Operatives recovered one sachet of suspected shabu from the 29-year-old and two additional sachets from the 27-year-old.
In total, law enforcers confiscated 200 grams of suspected shabu, commanding an estimated Standard Drug Price of ₱1,360,000.
NCRPO Officer-in-Charge PBGEN Christopher N. Abrahano stated that regional police forces are actively working to shrink the operational space of illicit networks across Metro Manila in line with PNP leadership directives.
“If you attempt to peddle illegal drugs in Metro Manila, our operatives will find you, dismantle your network, and ensure you face the full force of the law,” PBGEN Abrahano warned.
The three suspects and confiscated items were turned over to the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU-SPD) office for documentation and inventory.
The primary suspect faces charges for the illegal sale and conspiracy to sell dangerous drugs (Sections 5 and 26), while his two co-accused face charges for illegal possession and conspiracy (Sections 11 and 26) under Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
