THE Philippine National Police (PNP) has assured comprehensive security for the upcoming international convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses, which kicks off in Pasay City on October 26, 2026.
Representatives of the religious organization, led by national spokesperson James Morales and Ralph Balmaceda, met with Southern Police District (SPD) Director PBGen. Rodel Pastor on October 22 to finalize security preparations for the high-profile event.
Prior to the meeting with the SPD, organizers also coordinated with the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
During these discussions, organizers committed to strictly adhering to PNP guidelines, while law enforcement pledged full support for the gathering.
To maintain peace and order, at least 200 police personnel will be deployed across convention venues and key tourist destinations expected to be visited by international delegates.
The security deployment is a collaborative effort involving personnel from the SPD, Manila Police District (MPD), Quezon City Police District (QCPD), and selected areas under the Eastern Police District (EPD).

During the security briefing, PBGen. Pastor listened closely as Morales outlined the organizers’ security requirements and areas where PNP assistance is needed.
Balmaceda expressed gratitude for the director’s willingness to collaborate, noting confidence that the event will mirror the success of a similar convention held at the same venue in 2019.
Running for two weeks, the convention that will be held in SMX Convention Center and SM Mall of Asia Arena, is expected to draw an estimated 5,000 international delegates alongside roughly 20,000 local attendees.
Beyond its spiritual scale, the event is projected to inject approximately ₱1.5 billion into the local economy, providing a significant boost to businesses in hospitality, food service, transportation, retail, and entertainment.
Organizers noted that many international visitors plan to extend their stay to explore various tourist spots outside Metro Manila, spreading economic benefits across the country.
“We are very excited for this big event,” said Morales. “We are looking forward to this year’s event as it will be another opportunity to be happy with our fellow worshippers coming from different parts of the world.”
Organizers reiterated that, true to the tradition of Jehovah’s Witnesses, admission to the convention is entirely free, and no collections will be taken.
