The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) stepped up its anti-criminality campaign by arresting three drug suspects and confiscating approximately ₱275,672 worth of suspected shabu during separate buy-bust operations in Manila and Valenzuela City.
The swift twin operations, spearheaded by NCRPO Officer-in-Charge Police Brigadier General Christopher N. Abrahano, underscore the region’s relentless crackdown on the illegal drug trade.
The first operation unfolded shortly after midnight on October 21, 2026, when operatives from the Manila Police District (MPD) Station 13 swooped down on the Baseco Compound in Port Area, Manila.
The targeted sting led to the arrest of two individuals: a 76-year-old classified as a high-value drug personality, and a 33-year-old cohort.
Authorities recovered three sachets containing 15.54 grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱105,672, alongside marked buy-bust money.
The older suspect faces charges under Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, while the younger individual faces a complaint for violating Section 11.
Just hours later at dawn, elements of the Valenzuela City Police Station launched a coordinated buy-bust operation in Barangay Arkong Bato, Valenzuela City, in partnership with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
The raid resulted in the apprehension of a 23-year-old male suspect.
Seized from his possession were five sachets containing roughly 25 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of ₱170,000, along with boodle money and personal cash. He will likewise face inquest proceedings for violations of RA 9165.
“Drug traffickers have no place in our communities,” PBGen. Abrahano stated, reinforcing the command’s strict zero-tolerance policy. “We will keep the pressure on and disrupt their operations. No complacency, no compromise—our streets belong to the people, not to criminals.”
The NCRPO continues to pledge faster emergency response, proactive enforcement, and reduced crime rates to secure safer neighborhoods throughout Metro Manila.
