FUNERARIA Quiogue has released an official statement addressing and clarifying photos and videos circulating online concerning the wake and handling of the late Marielle Angelyn Valler.

The funeral home extended its deepest condolences to the grieving family and addressed misconceptions arising from the viral footage, emphasizing that the clips did not reflect normal public viewing conditions.

According to Funeraria Quiogue, the chapel was closed and secured at the time the photo and video was captured, in strict accordance with the family’s express wishes.

The family had requested that no one enter the chapel without a family member present, as they did not wish to begin public viewing in their absence.

Addressing specific footage of staff placing a curtain around the deceased, the management explained that the mother of the deceased had requested a specific procedure to be performed on the body.

Because members of the public were outside the chapel, staff put up the curtain to ensure privacy, dignity, and protection from public view.

“The curtain was not placed for any improper purpose. It was a basic measure of privacy and respect for the deceased, particularly while a private request from the immediate family was being attended to,” the statement read.

Funeraria Quiogue noted that the chapel officially opened to the public at 10:00 PM on October 2, 2026, allowing friends, visitors, and loved ones to pay their final respects.
