JOINT law enforcement forces dismantled a active drug den and apprehended three suspects during a buy-bust operation in Barangay La Torre North, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, on August 28, 2026.
Executing the evening sting around 7:05 PM, agents from the PDEA Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Office teamed up with the PNP Drug Enforcement Group–Special Operations Unit 2 and the Bayombong Police Station.
Operatives arrested three local residents during the raid: alias Ricky, 52, a married tricycle driver from District IV; alias Lordie, 39, a single construction worker from Barangay La Torre North; and alias JR, 47, a single construction worker also residing in Barangay La Torre North.
Confiscated items from the scene included five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing roughly 10 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu).
Valued at a standard drug price of ₱68,000, the illicit substances were seized alongside marked buy-bust money and various drug paraphernalia.
Collapsing the illegal facility directly disrupts localized drug distribution networks operating within the municipality.
Authorities transferred all three suspects and seized evidence to official custody for proper documentation and disposition.
Legal proceedings are currently underway, with suspects facing criminal charges for violating Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, and 12, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Sustained inter-agency coordination continues to drive region-wide efforts by PDEA and local police to neutralize drug hubs, arrest key operators, and suppress illegal drug activity across Nueva Vizcaya.
