LAW enforcement officers in Metro Manila scored a major victory against organized crime after the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) apprehended a high-profile fugitive on October 22, 2026.
The suspect, listed as the No. 7 Most Wanted Person for the Galas Police Station (PS 11) and the alleged leader of the notorious Santos Criminal Gang, was taken into custody following a joint manhunt operation.
Acting District Director Police Brigadier General Christopher Olazo reported that the operation was spearheaded by the Fairview Police Station (PS 5), supervised by Police Lieutenant Colonel John Glenn Siguan, with vital tactical support from PS 11 operatives under PLTCOL Morgan Aguilar.
The suspect, identified by the alias “Arjay,” 26, was tracked down at approximately 7:30 PM near a basketball court on Spinach Street in Barangay Bagong Silangan, Quezon City.
Officers executed an active warrant of arrest for carnapping issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 101, Quezon City.
Police records from the Investigation Solution Automatic Verification (ISAV) database revealed that the suspect has a history of unlawful activities, including prior arrests for theft in 2021 and 2023, alongside a qualified trespassing case in 2020.
Authorities also noted he was actively monitored under COPLAN: Foronda Robbery Group.
Following his capture, the suspect was transferred to the custody of PS 5 for proper documentation and disposition.
The high-profile arrest coincides with the QCPD’s broader intensified security initiatives.
Between October 10 and 16, 2026, the district conducted 3,866 “Oplan Bandillo” community awareness and crime prevention activities across Quezon City, with Holy Spirit Police Station (PS 14) recording the highest deployment.
PBGEN Olazo commended the operating teams and emphasized that proactive community engagement remains central to the district’s strategy.
“Sa patuloy na pagpapatupad ng Oplan Bandillo, layunin nating palakasin ang kamalayan, kahandaan, at pakikiisa ng mamamayan para sa mas ligtas at mapayapang Quezon City,” Olazo stated, reaffirming the police force’s dedication to keeping local communities safe.
